In what appears to be a quiet yet clear stance, Tamannaah liked an Instagram reel featuring Deepika's bold response to sexist questioning at a 2020 press conference.
Deepika shuts down a reporter's suggestion in the video that her husband Ranveer Singh funded her film Chhapaak, firmly stating, "It is my own money." The reel, which has recently gone viral, includes captions listing issues women stand against—such as sexism, the gender pay gap, and unprofessionalism—underlining the broader conversation about equality in the industry.
This comes as Deepika is facing backlash for allegedly being "unprofessional" on the sets of Spirit. The actor reportedly refused to work beyond six hours a day and demanded extra pay for extended shoots.
